Don’t have time to write a book? What about a pamphlet?

BookExpoCast released an interesting session about pamphlets.  You can download the MP3 for free here.

You’ll learn a little bit about the history of pamphlets but more importantly, how they can be used now and in the future.  Why is that important?  Well, we live in a sound bite culture and if you want to grab someone’s attention but only have them for a few seconds, a pamphlet is the perfect form factor.  Pamphlets are easily downloaded or printed cheaply making them something that you can give-away for free which can drive interest in your primary offerings. Think of using them to fill the top of your sales funnel. Just be sure that they contain some information of real value.  If it is just a sales brochure, you’ll lose more customers than you’ll gain (unless of course you tell people “This is my sales brochure” but then most people won’t want to download that.)

Short, sweet, and brandable.  Give this a listen and I bet it will spark some ideas.
